Disney took a lot of heat when they brought out the film Pulp Fiction, so I can understand your curiosity. I mean talk about your hypocrisy. But then again Mirimax is a division under the Disney blanket, whereas TMProUSA is an independent company altogether. I've read a lot of case studies and learned from some of their mistakes, including the Disney Co.

Personally I just like aviation and all facets around it.

I was going to show some pics from central park today, and talk about my conversations with the hawk watchers and such, and the boat pond people, but I don't think I will bother.
This is such a dissapointment.
This forum, and a handful of people who populate it, are just untenable.
We are talking about Central Park, and here we go with Horrace ranting about how he should be AMA president, and STL ranting about how we should buy HobbyQuest. Just personal diatribes, personal agendas, that have nothing to do with the subject at hand. It's impossible. And it's immature. Disney. Whatever. Bye.

RE: Making the impossible, possible E-field NYC

I'd love to see a field in Central Park. I live right nearby. My first suggestion is Sheep Meadow, a very large open area in the 60's. They CLOSE THE AREA OFF during the fall to allow the grass to regrow. Why not try a seasonal winter permit first -- a handful of modelers won't ruin the grass, and having signs posted that only modelers can use the field should keep others out. (The fences can be hopped, so they really don't keep everyone out. Alternatively, the Hecksher Ballfields near the bottom of the park also get fenced off after the summer and, though smaller, would probably be adequate. I'd also suggest the North Meadow in the 90's and 100's. It's a great open space with ballfields and soccer fields that go unused during the winter (and during the week at certain hours). Plenty of room to set up a safe protocol with a flight line, spectator area, etc.
