Information for the informed-to-be

Wanna' know what the EC is talking about?

Find it at: http://www.modelaircraft.org/0706ecminutes.asp

These are the minutes of the 07/06 EC meeting.

Minutes are wonderful, Horrace. I would rather hear what is actually said that is not necessarialy on the agenda at the meetings. You know the side deals, etc.

That is as everything else, Bill, it's all done at the bar the night before and after. :D
When the minutes become official, you will see some informative thought/talking added. Look at the minutes of previous meetings and check the appendices.

So do I, Tailskid.
They gave him a committee and a task, but apparently forgot what issue it was supposed to address. Glad that Tony pressed for answers on what was expected. It is (or should be) a top priority, as it is (was?) about the only EC plan of action directed at declining membership.

Hang in there Tony, and keep reminding the rest of the EC what the objectives they agreed to a few months ago are!

Review Strategic Planning (APPENDIX VI)

Lobbying Program – the President will personally do some basic investigational work on what it would cost AMA to get a lobbying presence in Washington, D.C.

The above line item intrigues me the most. Has something changed in IRC Section 501(c)(3)law to allow lobbying? If so, just what would we lobby for?
