does anyone know what the age limit is to join the ama

There is no AMA specified age limit for becoming a member of AMA.

when i went to register online the latest year of birth was 1989 i was born in 1991. do i have to go somewhere else to sign up?

foamie4life....Hello and welcome here..I just checked and I guess you are right...
the AMA website states: Program Overview:
Online applications are only accepted for United States applicants and Adults over the age of 18 by July 1st, 2007.

Over the internet is a problem for under 18....Call them first thing in the AM
and ask what the policy is for minors. I think you may have to send your
application in, rather than using the web...you can cown load/copy it there.

You can call them and do it over the phone. My son is a member of AMA and he's only 10

This is correct, we can only accept memberships for Open members via the internet. However, as Mr. Cain pointed out there is no age limit to join the association. Other age categories simply need to call or mail in their membership application.

Yep, I had my son in when he was a year old. I put his card in a hunting license holder pinned to his back so no one would give us any problem while going thru the pits.

hey guys my three boys are members and the youngest in 7 the great thing is it only cost 1 buck each to be a member the runner
