The Clanton Advertiser links for the articals no longer work. Just give a message to contact their newsroom.
However, when it was originally posted, I read the article. The article stated that they were wanting to restrict the sale of any model fuels containing more than 20% nitro-glycerine!!! HOW MANY fuel manufacturers use NITRO-GLYCERINE in MODEL FUELS??? Nitro-METHANE SURE... It's an effective oxidizer to boost the power. Nitro-GLYCERINE??? I don't think so... How many fuel manufacturers would want to risk law suits for producing a fuel that causes the modeller's workshop or models to BLOW UP??? According to the article, SOMEBODY either with the Government, OR the Clanton Advertiser DIFINATELY got some INACCURATE information on what model fuel is manufactured with!!! |

This discussion belongs in the Clubhouse, not here in the AMA forum.
