RE: Class C-Restricted?

Short version is Rafael's explanation was accurate. Non rulebook, not a specific group of people, not a demo =C

Question is, "When will the 2009 MM be on line?"

I find it convenient to have the current MM on my confuser. The answers are then just a click away.

I remember when each member received a MM, a Rule Book, and a few other goodies each year. All now gone with the breezes! Saves money for other programs, I suppose. [:'(]

It's called an AVP handout and they are still available. It comes in hard copy, power point, and DVD.

I apologize for deviating from the topic though.

According to the oposite view of the rule,
they would have to list a club swap meet at the hilton as C-Restricted to no-flying,
how else would folks know to not fly turbines or 40% Yaks inside the conference room swapmeet.
You obviously are not an AMA member and not read the magazine. THERE ARE Non-Flying events and flying events. There is no way a non-flying event can be confused with a flying event. Have you even looked at the back of the Magazine at the contest calendar? You can also go here to quench your thirst for knowledge:

Rafael
Have I looked at the back of MA?
Have you?

MA Nov 2007 pg 167
(C) Class C Non-Rulebook Events: An event with unrestricted entry to AMA members that may or may not offer awrds, or an organized get together of modelers for fellowship, mutual interests and/or good will, and may or may not offer a formal flying competition.
So a swap meet or WaffleHouse Pancakepaloosa sanctioned as a class C Event
doesnt have to offer awards,
can be a get together,
and doesnt have to offer flying,
and still be a Class C instead of sanctioning it as class E
or even a class C-R if we limit it to a group like "K-12 Only" or "Just Texans" or "Just Mil/Vet"
according the the text in the back of MA that you appear to put great emphasis on
with your catchy slogans like "Have you even looked at the back of the Magazine at the contest calendar?"

If you are done nitpicking the non-flying class C's
the OP asked about C-Restricted
and I am still standing behind my earlier answer to that:
C-Retricted limits the whos, not the whats, per 3.2

Oh my, imagine the public outcry if the AMA still did that.

Frank,
Did you miss the point that I have said book and recieved it from AMA?
And yes, I got it in the last 12 mos.

RE: Class C-Restricted?

Vic,

No, I didn't miss that. But I read that as all AVP's get the package. I would expect that to happen. You guys certainly deserve it and should be given all the proper tools to do your job.

However coma there are some that would like to put MA online and do away with it because they say it costs too much money. Just imagine of those same folks found out that the AMA is sending out literature that can be downloaded and printed. (oh the humanity!)
