OOPS. Tricky Stuff. Tight in shorts.

Just a word of warning. AMA does make changes every so often to the Membership Manual, and no news item to make a notice is posted.
I just recently asked AMA about where some information regarding the current rules cycle was posted. I stated that I had seen the info but now unable to find it. I very quickly received an answer. The answer did not seem correct as what was in my mind so I went searching again. Rather than the Competition area, I went to the '09 Membership Manual the one on my computer as downloaded from the web when the '09 MM first appeared. So I replied that the MM said differently

I advised AMA of the discrepancy in my usual smart-butt fashion. Well the lady sent back a better S-B reply :) and cited the reference. Sure enough the AMA's '09 MM has been changed, with no notice ever posted on the web. [sm=red_smile.gif] So I learned something, which I should have been doing all along. Like, be patient and use sweet words as one might have to eat them. :)
My '09 Manual is the same as the '08 MM. Now AMA's current '09 MM has some changes especially reference the Rules Change Cycle dates. Download again!

I did request AMA to consider using the AMA Web News section to advise when a significant MM item is changed. Waiting for response to that.

RE: OOPS. Tricky Stuff. Tight in shorts.

I just took a look at the one online,
I didnt see any Revision or Version designation... no MM "2009 v2" or "2009a".

If they are going to be changing it,
it would be nice to be able to just check the ver# to make sure everyone is talking about the same version.
