All Seagulls are OK, maybe. The weight is a little high for my taste, , with 688 squares. I bet the pushrods are the same soft 2mm rod they supply in there other 90 - 120 ARF's

Well as far as the supplied hardware is debated,
i always replace the pushrods that come with the airframe with GreatPlanes & DuBro hardware!

Personally, I think its a gorgeous plane.
One will find its way into my hanger eventually!
I plan to go gas with it as well. Nice find with that review!

RE: What do you think ? SEAGULL YAK-52 ARF
Hi all I madened my yak 52 on the weekend what a lovely bird I've used a SC91 2s turning a MA 15x6 which gives plenty of power. The build was simple and I found UHU POR glue very handy for mounting the plastic parts to the wings and body such as the lights and covers. The only hang up I founds was the rudder push rod was to short but with some spare rod it was easy to get around. With a 6v pack up front and 20g on the tail it balanced perfect at 95mm from LE
Takeoff are easy and with full flap it slows lovely for landing and as a plus it doesn't mind the wind much my maden was with winds of 12-13mph and it wasn't effected at all

I know this is an old thread but the Yak is now discontinued (along with the Seagull MXS-R 91-120 ARF and Seagull SportCruiser 91-110 ARF) I think . its listed on "the Buck Stop" at Horizon Hobbies website at $179.99 ordered mine finally. paid $13.50 fee for "oversize box" but the actual shipping was free. $193.49 to the door!

Glad I waited!
Not sure what engine I will use. Prefer gas, so maybe an RCS 140 (22CC) or a 120 four cycle.
Tempted to change the scheme but will have to look up others (if any) to see what else was used...
Any comments on how the stock retracts are holding up?

Hi twin flyer
I love my Yak one of the best models in my hanger so much so I'm on my second one the first one died after my Dx8 went faulty the supplied retracts are fine I've had no issues and the second one is on 20 + flights I'm useing a 91 2 stroke which I fine gives plenty of power turning a 15x8ma. If you can get it at a good price do it you won't regret buying it !
