Pulse XT 60 with a Saito 125 Anyone?
Hi guys
I just bought a Pulse XT 60
In a bit of a twist about what engine to stick in there. I have a Thunder Tiger 91FS and a Saito 125 at home without a home.
Obviously I am quite keep to put the Saito in there (Too much power is just right and all ), it weighs the same as the TT. But will it be a horribly overpowered fuel guzzling monster or would it be an acceptable match? And would I have enough prop clearance if I use a 15" prop?
Regards,
Marcel

Seriously, even the 91FS is probably overpowering a plane like this. Use the 91 and enjoy the plane as it was designed to fly.

I agree with Mercer. There is one at our field with an OS 60 2 stroke and the plane has more than enough power. It had me looking up in the air to see what was whistling by overhead!
When it landed I of course had to go to look it over because it was pretty impressive. The plane appears to have light wing loading due to the way it handles and floats in to land.

Just flew mine again today. It has a Saito 91 for power with 14x6 prop - flies great at 1/3 to 1/2 throttle as well as occasional full throttle.

I fly my Pulse 60 with an inverted Satio 100, yes way more power than it needs, but then you don't have to push your left thumb all the way to the top either. But ........ when you do its vertical forever

Hi all
My Pulse was delivered on Saturday Opened the box and, I can see it's a very lightly built plane. Smaller than I thought though.
So yes, I will heed your warnings and suggestions and decided to put the 91 Four Stoke in it. That same engine hauled my H9 Spitfire through the sky quite nicely, so I can imagine it would be well suited for this plane.
