Default Lanier 90" Edge

I am gonna get one. Have a couple questions for those that have finished and flown them.

Reading the instructions available at Laniers website, it seems the model may be tail heavy. I was thinking of a ZDZ 60 or a Brison 4.2.

Those of you that built it with the ZDZ 60 , did you move the rudder servo up to the CG and use pull pull, or did you add weight or both? Is the ZDZ 60 enough to pull out of a hover and accelerate vertically?

Has anyone put a Brison 4.2 on one?

What engine is installed on it on thier website?

What other engine combos are you guys flying?

Thanks

Default Edge 540

I have a ZDZ 80 with a tuned can in my edge. Might get to fly in Sunday. I did move my Rudder servo to the CG and go with pull-pull set up. Will let you know how it balances. Should me an ANIMAL set up this way. Throttle mgmt is a must!

I have a ZDZ 60 in mine. I built according to the instructions with all four servos in the tail. The first flight I had 3 pound of lead bolted to the bottom of the motor box to balance at the front of the CG range. After asking questions I found out that at 5 3/4" it was very flyable. I ended up putting in two ignition and two receiver batteries on the fire wall and getting rid of all lead. I now balance at 5 7/8" and it flys fine for 3D and still slows to a walk on landing without a hint of tip stall. For IMAC I will add lead to get it to track a little better.

Do a search in the ARF forum for a complete review of what our findings were with this plane.

As I stated before this is a great bird and has been allot of fun so far. I also got GREAT service from Lanier when I called a few items of concern I had. I wish SIG had half as good of service.
