Out of my area of expertise but if you are using RC radio your range is limited anyway.

Hye MX240,

nice shot but your nose gear is mounted wrong, the scissors needs to be at te front

About the 1 one engine operation.

Take off`s will be a pain in the ***, my 337 flies okk with the aft engine alon (a old FS 90) I could climb but that had to be done easy.
A touch and go was also possible but only with a shallow climb angle.
Flights with only my front engine where almost normal (a Saito 125) I evemn think I can take off without a problem with only the front engine.

But as said here with only a aft engine installed you won`t get the CG right

Grt,
Berto.

Arn't those windows fun. I remember useing 1/4 sq balsa wedged across to the other side to hold in place untill the clear GE sillicone glue dried...one side a night baby. )

Berto...thanks for telling the whole world my nose gear is wrong man.
You told me that when we were building ours together....but I like it turned that way ...and I am the owner, man. LOL
It's a one-of-a-kind.
Flying at these scale fun flys nobody but you has told me that....someday though?

Got a bit more done today, the windows actually fit now (glueing a couple at a time [:@] ). The Robart wheels finally arrived, struts are fitted and more done to the cockpit...

Today was spent wiring the lighing system. Everything exept the landing lights work off a seperate 4.8v r/x pack, the landing lights are mixed with the flaps and power off the main r/x pack. I know its not scale but I only did it to make it look better! ....

Nicely done. BTW where did you buy the model from? I'm looking all over but seems like nobody sells it nowadays.

i think you can get one from [link=http://www.eurolight.aero/?S=DE]Eurolight Germany[/link] it looks like your 337.

Sorry, but the page is in german, the model is produced in china.

That`s the same airplane.

In the USA the brand is called KMP, another brand is CMP or Eurolight.

OK. after damaging the nose gear for the second time I am going to replace the robart with a stronger gear but for the life of me I cannot recall the gear that someone suggested for this plane. I think it is in the thread someplace in one of the posts but I cannot locate the information. Does anyone recall or is using a stronger gear? I think that it is one that is specifically made for the 182 but just can't find it.

Thanks

If I recall it right it was the nose gear from Sierra.

Thanks. I think I found it on Sierra's site. I have found that if you "hop" this plane, which can happen if you touch down too hard on the mains, it will strike the nose gear and the Robart is not strong enough to take that kind of a hit from a 20 lb plane. Mostly this is from my inexperience with the plane and learning that I have to slow it down, a lot, on landing but I need a stronger gear. Otherwise, I love this plane and it sure gathers a crowd.

Thanks

During my first flights I made a "bump" which bend the nosewheel fork (i also belive it was the first or second flight and on video).

After that I didn`t have any problems with the nose.

There was one for sale at the Lincoln NE auction a couple of weeks ago. It didn't sell as the owner wanted $800 and $600 was the top bid.
It was ready to fly with twin 91's in it.
I still have mine and only fly it a twin meets in the area. It's not for sale...but don't want another one!
With the weight and wing area you fly her onto the runway. You try a full stall landing it will hurt.

Scott,

They are sorry to say long out of production. But keep turning over rocks, I did and I own a BniB sitting waiting to be built.
