Hangar 9 P51...150 size...and a RCV 120SP
Just got a Hangar 9 P-51...the 150 size...
Have a broken in RCV 120 SP engine that I'd like to use in it simply to avoid cutting the cowl and to be able to use a 4 blade prop like the real thing.....
I know alot of guys are using everything from Saito 180's to Moki 210's all the way up to DA 50's.....just wanted to see what the general opinion was of using this plane/engine combination..
Thanks for your thoughts...
Bill

You should highly consider the new Saito 220 Zeus. A little larger, but swings much larger prop.

Hi Bill
You could use the 120SP in any scale plane that was suitable for a 120 4-stroke, and in many slow flying planes you will find that the extra torque the RCV SP series gives you means that it is often suitable for much larger models. Unfortunately this model is just a bit too big for a 120 4-stroke, and RCV currently do not produce anything larger.
Have a look at the gallery section of our website, if you want any ideas www.rcvengines.com/gallery_full.htm
Best regards
