Piper - here are the coordinates for my field: lat=3.15140253309, lon=101.571257493 ... we fly at the field in front of the white roof building. That is a factory and we have had one of two guy who 'landed' on its roof before!

the Zen 30 is an awesome plane and with the TT36 is an absolute screamer!!!

quality is tight and the flying characteristics are awesome. serious... one of the best planes out there in that size for that class. and... it's very pretty. prettier than any small pattern plane.

but i voted for the Cub. it was a toss up between the Cub and TM. but it really depends on what is already in the hanger!

That seems better, won't need floats there. Next time I go to KL I know where to head.

I opened up the box again yesterday. The finish is great. A bonus is that the wing is one piece, and the vertical stab is already part of the fuse. Assembly should be pretty quick. Interesting that you mentioned the TT36, I happen to have one that's NIB. I'm still thinking about whether I want a 2 stroke, or if I might want to try something like a Saito .56 in it. It'll partly depend on how much room there is under the cowl.

Right now I've got no high wing or slow flying planes. The slowest thing I've got is a Tower Uproar, but while that can fly slow, it rolls so easy that it takes full attention. Getting either the Cub or TM flying would be a nice change of pace.

piper... if that's the case. WM Cub. if you've never had one... you've got to get it up in the air. MUST go four stroke on it, though. otherwise, you'd lose the whole purity and laziness of the cub.

the tigermoth is nice too... but the cub is just a beaut.

I hear you. Both the Cub and the TM will get 4 strokes. There's a law here (not really, but it's fun to say so) that all Cubs and World War 1 vintage aircraft must be powered by 4 strokes. I've already decided on the engines for both.

Well, the voting is finished and the DECATHLON got the most votes. Thanks to everyone for their votes and input. However, remember this comment?

Don't forget to vote, and stay tuned for a Survivor-like twist when the winner is revealed!
Well, the hidden twist is that the plane with the most votes is not the one to get built first. I'm a bit of a contrarian, and I like to see some variety. Lately it seems everyone is building one of these Decathlons. Eventually, I will too, that's why I bought one...

However, the results of this poll tell me that the WM Zen 30 needs to go first. And, for those who are interested in learning more about this plane, I've received tentative approval to use it for my first RCU review. Now it's time to choose an engine (Webra .36, TT 36-Pro, or Saito .56), decide which plane loses its receiver, charge up the batteries (camera), clear some bench space in the shop and get building.

Once again, thanks for the input!
