Default Great Planes Extra 300S 60 Size

my gp extra 300s 60 size wont knife edge at all for more than 3 seconds
could it be because i made a bigger rudder for it? the rudder is around 1 inch bigger. im using a ys 1.20 on it i heard that this plane is 3d capable anyone knows if this is true?
why could it be that mine wont knife edge? i have around 45 degrees throw on the rudder.

Danielfd,
I need to know more about your setup. What kind of linkage are you using on your rudder ... pull pull? Does your plane have the same problem with knife edge flying in both directions? How much thrust offset are you using on your engine?

Mine will climb in knife-edge and I'm using the stock hardware and only a 50 oz/in. servo on rudder. The trick is to set the CG about 1/2" be hind the midpoint shown on the plans. Of course, adjust the CG in 1/4" increments and make sure you perform the test flights w/ elevator throws set to LOW rates until you get used to the new response type.

Instead, go to a higher torque rudder serov that will hold it in position.
