I had one with a OS FX 1.60 in it. Plane came in at 14lbs which was a touch heavier than the 12-13 they say. Loved the plane. It did everything I wanted it to do, but then I'm not into all the 3DF stuff. Hovering would of taken a more powerful engine. This was my first plane beyond a .40 size and it was a piece of cake to take-off and land. Went together very well too. I glassed the wings which in after thought, I dont think it was needed; just added extra weight. Your son wouldnt be disappointed thats for sure. There has been a lot of positive threads on this plane the last few years. Wish I wouldnt of sold mine, but warbirds started calling me.
