In your opinion(s), what is the best built & reliable Chinese ARF on the market today???

Any ARF labeled with "Great Planes" or "SIG" brand seems to be pretty good.

although american company's, sig, great planes, goldberg are the best quality medium priced "made in china arf's'. they have a much better quality control over the chinese manufactures who manufacture their arfs for them. phoenix models which are made in vietnam are not to bad either. they are others which i won't mention their names which i'll never buy again. beware of the inexpensive arfs which look like great deals. they usually have a unknown covering on them that is poorly applied. one in particular has the worst assembly manuels i've ever seen.

I don't know what they are called in the USA, but here in AUS, CMPro, World Models, & Pheonix, are all pretty good.

I love WORLD MODELS!!!! You can't go wrong with them, from trainers, to low wings, to pattern, and aeorbatics!!
It is my favorite brand, and then comes Great Planes, Sig, and Goldberg...

Phoenix is very nice as well, but as said before it is not Chinese
With Phoenix you won't have to glue the control surfaces, they come already attached on 99% of the models, if that matters.

World Models Sky Raider Mach I or II $69.99. Twice the quality of any Hobbico plane I have bought. Perfect wrinkle free covering also.

all my ARF's come wrinkle-free.....then when they are put in the sun along the flight line....UGLY!!!!!

I don't seem to have that prob with the Sky Raiders. They seem to have some different style of covering on them. I believe they call it Toughlon or something like that.

These planes are not cheap-azz built neither. I fly the heck out of my mach I and II. Getting ready to buy the LA Racer next week or so.

I've got two of the Rich Models products and three of the fly-model (www.fly-model.com) products and in my opinion they are both built very well, the fly-model planes are a bit better when it comes to the covering.

Great Planes & World Models are equally good and offer the widest range of ARFs .
KMP/YT International market the most interesting high quality scale ARFs both warbird and civil. Lightyears ahead of CMPro.
If you are only considering the quality issue Green Models marketed in the US by Pacific Aeromodel produce kit quality highly prefabricated ARFs superior to all major manufacturers. Their only problem is the limited range on offer.

Of all the ARF's that I've assembled, KMP/YT International came out to be the best looking (most scale) and best built. There is no need to worry about firewall separating from the fuse or rear stab breaking.

You would never go wrong with World Models!! friends fly the hell out of their WM Super Sports and even had mid-airs few times and landed in one peice.

I have had very good luck with World Models. I see a new site, Peak Models, have some really good prices on World Models planes, not all of them but many of the more popular ones. Has anyone done business with Peak Models? Prices are 50 to 60% of prices everywhere else.

GotSky, do you happen to know what brand of covering Peak uses? Have you had any problems with the covering when you reshrink it, etc?

On their page it shows the LA Flyer WITH O.S.LA-40 engine, surely that can't mean the engine is included with the plane for that price!!!
