Default You should try these cowl binders!

I don't want this to sound like a commercial but when I find a good product I like to share. These are from www.pspmfg.com I went to their site to buy fuel dots some time ago. I saw these cowl binders and wanted to try them. I am really impressed with them. The cowl never moves or gets loose. I am posting a pic of them loose and some of them installed. They basicly snap through a hole in the cowl you make. When the screw is tightend the rubber expands and the cowl stays put. I did not paint mine but it would be easy to do.
The small set is $8 and the large $12. I bought a few dots and things to save on shipping. They have several colors of fuel dots.

I am giving this one bump. Just so everyone can see it. Hope it is not against the rules.

Was wondering when they will start using Zues screws? Same type deal but you would just turn a screw 1/2 turn and it would come loose and they stay on the cowl and plane to not be lost. Used them on race cars all over and they are tuff and if bent still work. Could pop a cowl off in 5 sec and never loose a screw on the floor or ground never to be seen again lol.
But that sure is a neat looking way to do it. Nice and clean.

I bought the small ones. If you look on the web site the larger ones have a blind nut. The ones I used have a wood screw. The plane shown is a Seagull Ult. It is only a 90 size bipe with 54" WS.

i'm amazed this hasnt been used either. i use them to get the hood, bumper and trunk on and off of my race car and it takes seconds.

I used them for alot on my race cars body panels. Fill panels for acsess to brake cyld. The dash. My hood had to have pins as did my trunk. I raced IMCA Stock Cars for yrs. The Zues Screws are alum. and light. Different sizes may be something to get into to make a buck. I think the would revolutionise how cowls are mounted. Would work great for Canopies also. A smaller version of the ones we used would be needed but man they are great, for getting to stuff easy and quick. They also would bling a plane up some.
