This is an old thread, but could any of you who have one measure the cowl width and height where it meets the fuselage? I do not need a micrometer measurement, just a rough 7.5" or 8" or whatever it is. I need to find a surrogate for another out of production airplane. Thanks!

Great, thanks Daryl. I need 8" wide and 8" high so that should work and I found one on amazon of all places for just over $12 shipped. Was 8" the width and height by chance?
Thanks again

Hey Daryl, just wanted to say thanks again... $12.81 and it fits like a glove. I appreciate the measurements. There is no way I could have made one for that.

I just bought one of these, brand new but some hangar rash. $60! I have a great running Stihl 28cc 4 mix to go in it. Ill be aiming for the 9-9.5 auw threshold. THis will be my first big gasser airplane but I have lots of flying experience with aerobatic glow designs, + heli pilot skills.
What a great thread with a mass amount of info, and it seems as though its a winner!
