Does Y/A 120 Edge 540T + Saito 180 = Unlimited Vertical?
OK. Subject says it all. If I hung a Saito 180 on the front of a Yellow Aircraft 120 Size Edge 540T, would it give me unlimited vertical?

Yes, I have that combination and no problem with power. I can hover at 1/2 throttle. Mine weights about 12 lbs.

A Saito 180 will pull the YA 120 size birds out of a hover without any problem. It's a perfect combination. The 180 is a stump-puller.

I have the same combo and it is 100% Unlimited!!! The combo is assume and will do any 3D that your are capable of doing. I don't have a weight on mine, but it took no weight to balance. Just moved the rx batt. around a little.
This is the First plane I have owned that would do the Knife Edge loop.

I am just finishing the World Models 80" Extra with the Saito 180 burning 30% on an APC 16/8 and should be about 14lbs. I know it wont be unlimited but I need to know what to expect.
Does anyone have any knowledge of this combo? and if not what's your feeling about it.

How about a YS 140 DZ on that same plane ? Do you guys thing that the YS will have a little more power than the Saito 180?
It will turn a 17 X 8 at about 8600 RPM

My 1.80 with only 1 gal. thru is turning a Mejzlik 16x8 just over 10k.
This is on 15% Wildcat. I have some 30% to try after a few more gallons.
I was pretty happy with it.
