Great Planes 1/3 scale Pitts ARF
Alright fella's... i know there are many post on here about this Pitts. I have one that i have decided to finally "slap together". I have been reading some of the post on RCU about the Pitts but there are so many that i start to go "crossed eyed" reading them! Here is what im wondering for my Pitts. It's a early version Pitts, im going to use a Moki 2.10 on it. Is there anything i should do "extra" to this ARF? How would a 70oz servo work all around for this ARF? Futaba 3010 or Hitec 5485's? Thanks for any help guys.

I'm flying mine on a Moki 1.8 and didn't change a thing. I've got several friends who have the 2.10 in there Eagles and it more than enough power. Servos you mentioned should be fine. Great flying plane looks awesome in the air. Mike

I also have a Christen Eagle that is waiting for me to assemble. I have a saito 270 twin for mine but I think the big Moki would also be an excellent choice for the Pitts. I agree that 70oz servos should be fine. If you have not purchased the servos yet I would avoid the Futaba 3010 as the Hitec 645 seems to be of much higher quality at this price point.

Thanks, Funny we had it out yesterday and it flew great. I'd be messing with helicopters and electric EDF's for the last year and got the bug to fly the Eagle again. Replaced the battery with a fresh 6volt pack and replaced the old 72 with a 2.4. Still a bit squirrely on take off and landings still have a bounce unless you get it just right but it s great to fly.
