I have both a YS 110 and OS 120 AX and the 120 AX out performs the YS in power, pull, etc.
This may be true at sea level....but it is not true at 4800' elevation. The YS benefits from almost zero reduction in power at elevation because it is supercharged. The OS 120AX is not. So the higher you go the more difference you will see. The YS 110 is an awesome engine at my elevation and outperforms any 120 class engine I've seen. The are difficult to tune for the first timer but once you get them setup right they are stone reliable Awesome engines.

I wish they'd get this plane in soon. I'm thinking about trying another Funtana. This one looks pretty good.

Thanks
BArry

I saw the plane at the Toledo show, and I pulled out a tape measure to get figures.

I found that it is almost identically sized to the Funtana 100X.

Even the parts are interchangeable... like gear, etc.

However it still is not shipping and Horizon has not received their production runs.

Ah, the Chinese!

Ok....enough is enough. Now Horizon Hobbies is listing the Funtana 125 as being OUT OF STOCK and that it is due late September. How in the world can something be out of stock unless there has been some in stock? Looks like another long wait for late September and probably another long wait until early, mid, or late October, November, December. Guess I should have ask what year or better yet move on to another company and a different model.

I've given up on this one, moved on to another kit. Hopefully those of you that do get it will be able to post some good info for review later on.

I hope that the news of the Funtana 125 being in stock is really, really true and that they send out to the local Hobby Shops. Finally, after a long, long wait it seems to be available.

It shows in stock on line, so it is in stock, order it from Horizon Hobby, easy to do and you will get it quick.

I had the 125 on back order. Horizon just sent me an email with the invoice and tracking number, the ARF is on its way.

Congratulations! Now for the important question? Where do you get that engine you have shown in your earlier post?

I'd get one, but I have 2 Funtana X 100s, one up and running with an OS 120 AX and a NIB X 100 for backup...

Hey.....LOOk at those AIRFOIL Hor. Stabs!!!....
Can't say I like the Gieto shaker paint scheme!!!!!!!!!

I had made some complaints as how h9 Discontinued there 100X ....
For no reason other than they were not making any money off it....
CF gear, wingtube,,,,219$...!!!
Those Carbonfiber parts are not cheap no matter what....

They then release another funtana with NO CF parts at all, and increase the price....

It takes longer to make those elevators/rudder wich is a big improvement from the prior one....
Was my only complaint.... It is just too bad they couldn't keep the CF parts for the 300$ price...

I personally would rather pay 100$ more and get the new EF extra 74" or the AW 72" yak....
THese planes are far better suited to handle the ruff treatment the 26cc gas engines dish out...
If you have the 110 ys, 1.20 AX, or the saito 1.25 then get this plane.....
If you want to use gas, then pass....

The electronics are going to be the same between the two anyway, why not get a bigger plane,......
It makes a big difference in presentation (being able to see it while flying).....

If this plane was designed by Sebart...then you are getting a bargin.... I know the original one was....

I will have to pass..
