Default Abell RC 26cc AV Camera Ship / Trainer

Does anyone have any experience with this 86 inch ARF plane. I'm considering getting it as a camera plane. Have a look at http://www.abellrc.com/ search under gas and glow- AbellRc planes. What engines are you using etc ?

Hello Eyeguy,

Did you ever try this Abell RC 26cc av camera ship out?

I have a TT pro .91 2 stroke looking for a home in a floater plane.

If so what did you use in her?

Love your floatplane videos!!

Thanks,

I did get one but have not gotten to it yet. The plan is to use it as a glider tug, and I got a CRRC 26cc gas engine for it. It is strongly built, and should be a robust tug. The TT .91 is a bit to small for it, my opinion.

A perfect home for your TT91 2 cycle would be this one from NitroPlanes : NitroModels Super Senior 60 - 80" - it is one sale now for $109. I have one that I am converting into a floatplane as a new camera ship. A huge wing with very little weight - if you want a floater - this is it. It is basically a SIG Kadett Senior clone.

Here is a link to it : http://www.nitroplanes.com/90a270r-g...enior-red.html. It also comes in blue.

Eyeguy

Looks like a winner!

Also looking at an Ibis 120 arf. It is found on other sites but Texas Rc has them in stock.

The nitroplanes lists the senior as a kit but is it an arf? Price is great 109 but on back order now.

But I am in no big hurry..........

Thanks for your help,

It is an ARF - a beauty too. For the price it you can't beat it.

You purchased a model that is seldom seen. You may get lucky and find some one who has one, but don't be surprised if no one replies.

If you have specific questions, you can ask for assistance. Posting pics of the problem may help you get an answer.

Alright, do you epoxy the firewall first or install the engine first? How do you start the gasoline engine with the choke on or off? Thank you guys

Many builders mount the engine to the firewall first, because it's easier to drill the engine mounting holes, and install blind nuts. The engine is then removed, and the firewall is installed on to the fuselage.

Refer to your engine's operating manual for the correct starting procedure.
