Something Extra…Where Do You Mount the Switch?
I just completed a Something Extra ARF and for the life of me I can’t figure out where is the best place to mount the switch.
You guys who have built this model; can you give me some ideas? Thanks. Dave |

Dave On one I have placed the switch on the underside, near the landing gear legs, and on the other, I mounted it inboard with a wire coming through the side near the leading edge. It JUST fits! Good luck. -David C. |

On mine it is on the side of the fuselage, just below the wing.

Mine's also just below the wing on the port side (opposite of the side that the muffler is on). It's a tight fit!

haha, funny... just took that last week btw...
anyway, it was actually quite a bit fun driving it around on snow, almost as much fun as flying! those are coroplast skiis, a little small but as soon as you have power it planes on top and generally works great. (look closely in the background, LOTS of tracks from just cruising around...) |

I mounted a GP switch and charge jack on the bottom of the fuse. It seems to be working fine afte about 25 flights.

SE Switch location

I've had two SE, both have the switch located just behind the landing gear. Works great!
I think you will be able to see it in the attached photo. |
