Hangar- 9 Otter Help!
Hey everyone,
Just bought the Hangar-9 Otter ARF and spec-ing out engines. I'd really like to put two four stroke engines on it, but not sure what would be a suitable engine. The instructions call for .36-.40 2 stroke. ANy ideas on a good four stroke engine size?? -Will<br type="_moz" /> |
RE: Hangar- 9 Otter Help!
I'd go with Enya 53's with remote glows if you want seriously sweet sounding and plenty of power, but great throttle control.
A little pricey, but they last forever, and run like champs...a friend has one that was crashed, crank case broken open, JB weld used to put it back together, and still runs like new now. And I don't know for sure but I think they make a deal to get the engine to run backwards, so your props spin counter to each other which is good news on a twin. |

A pair of 62 saitos would be perfect:)

My first choice would be a pair of OS 56's, but at half the price, the Mangum 52's look mighty tempting

RE: Hangar- 9 Otter Help!
Actually we've got one flyting on a couple of Saito 40's and they are a perfect match. Lightweight and swing 11 x 6 props you get all the power you need.

Thanks everyone for the help, I took your advice and bought two magnum .52's. I think it will sound great and also give me enough power to run floats.
