Sweet planes. I might be getting a Fun 50 soon. I've flown the Cap 60 and 120 and they were both great flying planes. The Cap 120 is very good at 3D maneuvers.

SuperKraft has made a pretty good name for them self. My experiance as well as this forum seems to confirm that their models are excellent flyers, well built, and quite a value for the price. Ive have both the .60 CAP232 and the .40 Extra 300 and my only complaint was the hardware sucked on the CAP ( a VERY early kit) and was second rate on the Extra ( a year newer but still 1.5 years old now). To me the hardware was of little importance.. but more recent mentions here indicates they have improve the quality to the point where most people are happy with it. One thing for sure, their customer service is first rate and since Im in Maryland and they are in New Jersey, I get quick service too.
FWIW, Id go with the Extra.. the CAP is a typical CAP and is snap happy... the .40 Exra size I have is actually TOO stable,, cant get a decent snap roll out of it. I consider the .40 size to be SuperKrafts poorest effort as its rather slab sided, while the .60 size has a VERY nice shape(I wish I had bought it instead of the CAP which I DID snap into the ground). But a friend talked me into dropping back to .40 size.... Bottom line: buy a Kangke... you wont be sorry |
Yes; Kangke!!!
Over the past 6-7 years, I have build aprox. 20-25 ARF's for myself or others. Without a doubt, Kangke ranks up there as one of the best mfgr's. I currently fly the Texas Hurricane and the Laser 2000, and would highly recommend them both........

Super Kraft
I have the 60 size 300 and must say it is built very well. Flys as good as it looks and everything was straight. I have mine powered with a Saito 1.20 and while I won't say it is "unlimited" vertical, it does very well. The other day I had a dead stick with the plane and had to cross a pond to get back to the runway. the air press diff. from the watter caused my plane to drop like a rock and it went in from about 20 feet up. cracked the cowl and a little dent in one wing and that was it. I figured it was a total loss but I flew it again that day!
Some of the hardware is kinda cheesy and the landing gear is a little light for the plane but after you rebend it so it looks like it should have in the first place and it is fine. Mine has 15 or so flights on it and so far I am a happy camper. Full up weight is almost 10 lbs with the Saito. |
Question for jbflier
jbflier,
What engine are you using in your Laser? How's the performance with your engine? I have one still in the box that I plan on mounting my Brison 3.2 in. What do you think of this combo? Thanks for the info. By the way, I have seen several Kangke ARFs (a fellow club-member flies and distributes them) and all have been first rate. |

I have a Kangke SK 50 and it flies like a dream with a TS 52 up front. Great quality ARF,too.

RE: Kangke(supercraft)
I was planning on buying the Texas Hurricane and i would like to know if its's a two piece wing with a wing tube and did you do any mods to it.

RE: Kangke(supercraft)
Hi Maverick
The Hurricane is a two peice wing. These kits are all excellent quality. We have reviewed the SK50, Fun50, Laser 2000, Extra 300-60, Monocoupe, and just released the Texas Hurricane Today: http://www.rcuniverse.com/magazine/a...article_id=222 Check out the other reviews in the RCU magazine Let me know if I can be of any help! i own a sk-50 had a trainer have a cap 232/60 cap 232/60 sport, and a cap 232-120, and these arfs are second to none, the caps have huge cowlings so you can stuff pretty much what you want in them, only thing ive replaced was some of the landing gears from hard landings brian

RE: Kangke(supercraft)
Excellent! I have their Rearwin Speedster. My landing gear paint job was off so they sent me another in two days with no questions asked.

RE: Kangke(supercraft)
I just purchased the 60 sized Cap 232, and it looks great! And I'm a skeptic when it comes to ARF's. Is this plane really 3 D "capable"? On the box it states 60-90 2 stroke, or 91 4 stroke, yet on the companies website, it states 91-120 4 stroke. Which engine would you guys recommend? Personally, I like the sound and torque of a 4 stroke. Thanks for your help.

RE: Kangke(supercraft)
i have personally had ywo of these planes.. my club has had 5 different fliers with these planes..we have flown them with everything fron a .76 gms to a 1.20 glow and a 1.20 4 stroke the 1.20 are a over kill unless you want extreme flying.. around a .90 is perfect for the plane, it will tuck in the cowell since its a huge one ..and with that you will have unlimited verticle...i also put a 1.20 in the cap 60 sport it sounded great.. flew it only at half throttle....thats all it needed... it is truely 3d and will do all you want it to do...its one of the best values for the money spent that there is..

RE: Kangke(supercraft)
Thanks for your input hondaking38. One question though....when you say that a 90 would be perfect and give unlimited vertical, do you mean a 2 or 4 stroke? I have a YS 91FZ that's supposed to be "supercharged" for extra oomph. Will this engine suffice?

RE: Kangke(supercraft)
I own two of their planes and agree with others in this post stating that they are some of the best ARF's made. I own the monocoupe and waco, and these are two of the nicest planes I have seen around (arf's or kits).

RE: Kangke(supercraft)
My new Monocoupe arrived last night... What a beauty... Could not find even a wrinkle on it... Wish they would share that secret with other manufacturers..

I would have to say that I too am impressed with the quality of Kangke's arf's. I have the Waco and it is a gorgeous looking plane with excellent performance characteristics. Pictures below

RE: Kangke(supercraft)
I am looking for someone who has installed a Brison 3.2 in a Waco....
