Help! Need Spinner For Extra 300xs

Hey everyone,

Need some help finding the part # for the Tru Turn Alum Spinner that works with the zinger 18-6 Prop. Want to make sure I get the right spinner that will accept a little larger 18X? prop and don't want to order the wrong one.

Part #'s of any alum spinner you are using with your Sig Extra 300xs would be great.

Thanks for the help,

If you still need a spinner, just give them a call direct.
Tru-Turn/ ROMCO Manufacturing 281-479-9600

They will custom cut the spinner, based on the props you intend on using. The have machining co-ordinates for most (if not all) of the popular prop makes/sizes. You wind up with a really clean slot, that will fit your prop choices perfectly. They also offer a light backplate that helps cut some weight off, if you need it.

I've placed several orders with them. Superior product, and they are really nice people to deal with!

I fly the Sig Extra 300XS with OS 1.60 and the 3" Spinner TT-3002-B.

Rex,

What prop sizes are you using?

I started out running APC's. 16X10, 18X6W, 18X8N, and 18X8W. The 18X8W was best, but the plane was just to fast, and had little braking.
I then went to Zinger wood props. 18X10, 18X8, 18X6-10, and I currently fly with the 20-6 cut back to 19.
I would recommend experimenting with different props to find the one right for you, and your environment. It's more pilot preference than an exact setup. I have friends flying the OS 1.60 with the APC 18X8N and 18X10 and that's what they prefer.
You should really like the Extra! I started out with the 27% CG, but have been slowly moving it back to find the right spot.
Have fun!

Thanks for the help, called Tru Turn this morning and ordered a 3" spinner cut for a 18x10 zinger prop. That should give me some room to play around with.

Thanks again for the help,
