Kangke cap 232 120size excelence
hi guys just bought my new 1/4 scale cap 232 made by kangke (supercraft) ARTF.
i have not started to build it yet but from wen i oppened the box quality ignited my eyes. the quality of the balsa joints are really precise and the covering quality which i was told was ultra cote (profilm) is put on better than any other artf i have had and i have had a fair few (fantastic quality). so now u guys are probly wondering how heavy this plane will come out now i can tell you its quite alot lighter airframe etc than my 1/4 extra and that came in at 13lbs. i am exspectin this to come out 12lbs with a mackay aw30cc gas engine. people who want a slow flying plane like i did when i was researching this plane i dont think this is going to be a problem this plane has 1200sq of wing area which in theory means it will fly very slow indeed. however i have not yet put this plane togeather but ill keep use updated on this new bird if use like. an ill put some pics on when its finished and give a flight report hows that. oh yes an the new hardware Kangke are starting to put in is really really good. blue metal anodised horns (nice) and all push rods with metal chrome clevisis. this is definetley the best hardware i have ever seen in an artf infact i dont think i could do much better my self by goin out an buyin new hardware it really is descent stuff. ps: i have just been told that the 1200sq.in is not all on the wing they measure the botton side of the fuselage too. but i think it will still fly slow enough. pps. wow the sisze of that cown it seriously looks like its of a 1/3 cap. ok |

looks Great!
Where do the elev and rudd servos mount? Can they be put in the tail? Rick |
Kangke cap 232 120size excelence
there are servo slots for the elevator servos in the tail but i dont think the rudder.
pull pull for rudder or snake etc with servo in CG lines |

Be sure to seal all the hinge lines, it make a noticable improvement in stability.

These things fly great!!! You'll love it! 3D is great for a 25% plane; Harriers are rock solid. The one I flew had an ST 2500 in it, and it powered it well. A Moki 1.8 would probably make it rock. Those red wingtips are very visible in the sky.

Acropad, you seal a hinge line by installing covering between the control surface and the fixed surface. I use clear Ultracoat so I don't have to worry about matching the colors on the plane. I cut the Ultracoat into a strip about 12mm wide, then fold it length wise. While holding the control surface to its maximum deflection iron it in the hinge line. This prevents any air from leaking through the hinge gap and greatly improves response, reduces the chance of flutter, and keeps the control working an lower airspeed. I do not own the Kangke Cap 120, but there are two in my club and I have lots of stick time with them. I do own the Kangke Laser 2000 and the Texas Hurricane.

thanks guys......
so OUTCAST u say u fly the plane abit what do u think of it? a what is it like on the landings? does it snap? tip?an how fast etc does it stall? thanks |

The two that I have flown are very nice with no bad habbits. They harrier well, do nice blenders, will fly much slower than you would think they should and are very easy to land. I have not noticed and tendency to tip stall but it will snap like crazy if you ask it to. I think they are the most stable Cap's I have flown, and I intend to buy one for myself.

218 should be good.. ommm mds id say maybe same power as moki 180 or OS160 but either of them are more than enough so no problems there.

Check out my comments and detailed pictures on this ARF near the bottom of the thread linked below. I LOVE this plane. It is the best flying scale model I have owned and everyone at my field loves it! Honestly, this is the best flying CAPs I have flown and with the exception of the 35% Carden CAP I had it is quite possibly the best flying plane period.
I have 40+ flights on it so far and it still looks like it came out of the box. See my notes about the recommended mods though... the gear and wheels suck! But for the most part A+++ http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_44...tm.htm#1398546 DP |
