Horn position

How important is the position of the horn on the rudder?
I am finishing an Avistar and because, the pushrodwill end up up much higher on the rudder than the what is required.
I would have to bend the rod in order to make it 1 inch over the horizontal stab as shown on the manual.
Should I make a bigger hole on the fuse or is it Ok to bend the rod a little?

Thanks,

If the avistar has a small rudder like other trainers, it would be okay to bend the linkage wire because the light load will not deflect the wire. On a larger rudder surface, this would be bad.

It does have a very small rudder. But then again, I would think that a horn placed on the center will be stronger than one placed at the bottom.

It's not uncommon to bend a pushrod as needed - within reason of course.
