Hello Everyone,

I have the yak 54 90-120 QB and i'm trying to choose the wright engine for it . Anyone has the experience which engine will work perfectly with this plane ?
the plane is the yak 54 aeroworks .

Engine: .90 -1.20 cu in (14.7 - 19.7 cc) 2 or 4 stroke with Pitts muffler

Maybe a YS 115FZS or YS 140 Sport

If you want to use gas, go with the DLE 30. If glow is your preference, go with one of the YS's mentioned above.

I've seen the plane fly with a Saito 180 and it flies AWESOME. If I was going to buy one, I'd put a 3W28 in it.

How about a 120ax or dle20 for this airplane? Would it be underpowered?

I had the YAK 90-120 a few years ago and I was running an OS 120AX 2 stroke swinging an APC 17X6 prop. It would 3D the plane fine but it was not overkill. Look in my gallery.
