EFlite Alpha 450 Aileron and Elevator throws

Im getting ready to finally get out and do some flying.. The manual states a 1/2 inch or 12mm throw from center to center on the aileron and elevator... I can not get this to happen without going into my DX8 and setting the travel adjust to the max 150%... the rudder has more travel easily than the recommended... Wondering if anyone else experienced this and what the solution was??

The aileron control rod is furthest OUT from the servo, and mid position of the horn...

Thanks in advance

You did exactly what you need to.

When setting up ANY plane it is best to MAX out the throws as you've done, then make any adjustments to the linkages to get the throws you are looking for.

By doing so you give the TX the best ability to finely control the arm movements, especially around stick center where this is very important.

If you want to lessen rudder travel, ( though I go for as MUCH as I can get in all control surfaces and use the rate settings to tone things down... ) leave the TX as is, and adjust the linkage position at the servo horn OUT, and IN at the rudder horn.

Pardon my ignorance, but doesn't that increase throw?

My Bad... yes it should read the exact OPPOSITE! [X(] [&:]

"leave the TX as is ( at 150% ) , and adjust the linkage position at the servo horn IN, and OUT at the rudder"

Good catch, thanks.
