Help!!!!!!!!

I am new to RC and do not know which plane to get!

I am leaning toward a low-wing trainer, but a hi-wing would be ok.

I want a plane that can last a long time without making me bored after I learn how to fly.
I don't feel like a kit.
I have a budget of about $400.

Help!!!!!!!!!!!

welcome to RCU!

I would suggest any of the Hobbico trainers they offer. Superstar or the Avistar. Both are excellent have some arobatic ability. You can find one for about $300ish complete with radio. Check your LHS or your preferred online retailer.

Good Luck!

I second the Avistar. Great little plane that can be setup mild as a trainer that just floats with a .40 size engine and then turn up the throws, put a .46 or even a nice 4-stroke and you're ready to rock and roll.

Good Luck,

get a sig lt-40 and if you have a computer get G-2 there are many planes you can fly on there for no more than a space-bar hit :D

Hello:

You are in luck! Hangar 9 has an Alpha Trainer RTF "Ready To Fly" I mean it only took me 18 min to finish the plane read to flt besides charging batteries. This has everything you need except for your field gear. HOWEVER; Your best bet for a model you can learn on and continue to enjoy is the "Hangar 9 Easy 2 which is also RTF. It also comes with a JR computer radio which you can use as you advance with this model or removed when you get ready for your second plane
Hopes this helps!

You want slightly aerobatic?

The Avistar is the way to go. It has the semi-symetrical wing which will allow you start playing in the world of aerobatics, but can still have the gentle flight characteristics of a mild trainer.

The Avistar - from mild to wild

A computer radio will be nice for down the road when you want to really get into aerobatics.

Good luck,
