eflite advance 25e experiment
 

I just took the motor ( os .25) off the flying rock or non flying rock better known as nitro planes edge 540 .25, and put it on eflites advance 25e. Do any of you care to speculate how it will do? It balanced pretty well without adding any weight. Had to add 9 oz. nose weight on the edge it wouldn't get off the ground. It should beinteresting .

It should be very interesting. The Advance is a great plane - I just hope it can handle the vibrations of a glow engine

I absolutely love flying my Advance. Like Minnflyer said, it will do great IF the airframe can handle the vibration.

I had a bad landing with once with the electric motor and broke the firewall so i have put a new stronger firewall in it. The rest of the plane is pretty solid so i think it will handle any slight vibrations. Also keep my props balanced. That makes a lot of difference. Will probably fly sunday. I just couldn't find a good plane for my .25 motor so i'm experimentig with this one. It is really a nice arf.

advance flew like a champ with os .25 . I would suggest this plane to anybody that wants to convert from electric to nitro.
