BUSA has a 1/4 scale kit. http://shop.balsausa.com/product_p/411.htm

I am not aware of an ARF version.

RE: fokker dv8 ?

you will need a more powerful engine than your .91FS for that model.

Yes you will need at the lowest engine size a FS120, but you will need to add considerable nose weight to it. May I suggest a FS150 or higher. Most are using gas engines around 30cc.

Yes you can, and I've seen a couple people do just that. The kit is 1/4 scale and you would need to bring it down to 1/5 scale. If you have a drafting background and is good in math and making patterns, then you could do it that way. Or, you could have someone copy the plans and shrink it down to 1/5 scale. Many ways to do it.

If you were to bring it down to 1/6 scale then I think your engine might be too big for that scale. I have a 1995 O.S. FS .91 Surpass and I love that engine. It is powerful and quite light compared to the Saito of the same size in my opinion.

I plan on building the Fokker DVIII myself later on.

He's looking for a 1/5 scale Fokker DVIII. The DVIII you linked him to is a ARF, but it is 1/3 scale it's way larger than BUSA's 1/4 scale Fokker DVIII. Plus he wants to use his glow 91FS and I highly doubt it would even have the power to move it on the ground neither the less get it up in the air.

Doh, Tom mentioned ARF, not Top242. My mistake. I was just pointing out that there is an ARF, even if it is a big bird.

I mentioned an ARF because this is the ARF forum. I thought that maybe the OP was looking for an ARF.
