Seagull Pilatus PC-9 1.20 version
Probably going to purchase this plane in the very near future. Just wondering if anyone has built/flown one of these yet?. If so how was everything...

RE: Seagull Pilatus PC-9 1.20 version
This is one sweet flying plane!
The manual is a bit lacking for assembly, but if you've assembled a couple of ARFs, you'll have no troubles. Mine had the Evolution 1.20 NX mounted inverted, but a DLE 20 or Zenoah G-20 would be awesome in the nose. The mechanical retracts were easy to set up, and fit and finish were great over all. |

Great flying model, looks great in the air and handles like a pattern machine.
I replaced the supplied retracts with eflites 60-120 Cheers, Merlin Man |

Thanks for the input, I am going with spektrum servos and probably an OS/EVO 1.20, was also thinking of a Super Tiger G2350 any other suggestions...

This is mine and a mates.
Mine ahs a CRRC GP26R up front and I've changed out the retract as well. Had heaps of trouble with the ones supplied. My mate has a DLE-30 up front and get to get the Std retracts working. We like to try and fly in formation. He has a little more speed than mine as the DLE-30 is swinging a 18x10 and the GP26R is swinginf a 17x8. These Aircraft fly great. Just fun to fly..... Cheers |

Hi,
I also scrapped the supplied pilots in favour of more scale ones. These are Aces of Iron 1/5 scale ones from the US. Mine has an OS 120 AX and has heaps of power . Cheers, Merlin Man. |
RE: Seagull Pilatus PC-9 1.20 version
Thanks for all the input. For sure one of things I was going to change is the pilots. The ones supplied don't look very scale like. Other than that will go with the stock retracts and see how they perform. I know the whole retracts thing is hit and miss, one bad landing can make for a whole lot of trouble after wards but they do look good on airplanes.
