Hi, I am in the process of assemblying one of these and am about to mount the engine (ZDZ 40). The plane is built with zero right thrust and I am guessing that with this engine, it is probably going to need some. If anyone is flying this combination or something very similar, I would appreciate input from you.
I am really not looking forward to squirrelly ground handling characteristics and am building the plane for learning the Imac sequences so it needs to track true. I know I will (may) have to adjust it but I would like to have it in the ballpark for initial flights. |

Hello CSTEVEC,
I am using a OS 1.60 in mine and this engine pulls it right along. I did put in 2 Degrees Right Thrust and 2 degrees Down Thrust on the enigne mount . I made the shimes out of wood. I didnt use washers . One thing you might do is reinforce the engine box on the front of the Fuse. Also for more handy hits check out the thrreads from RED7FITHY. Red is just starting IMAC and theres a lot of Ideas in the post that might help you. Its a great smooth plane but wont do T/Roll or 3 D due the the elevator being too small. NEDYOB |

This plane is a great flyer. Beef up the motor box if going gas. Mine handles very well on the ground. I have a ST 2000 (1.20) in mine and it flies well (a little underpowered but nice). I may put in my ST2500 to have some fun with it though. Watch your nose weight with a gasser also. Mine balanced with no extra weight. A gasser may be heavier than my ST 2000.
