Great planes Cristen Eagle

Since I don't see a thread on the GP Cristen Eagle I will start one with my GP CE ( unless I totally missed it [X(] )

It came all the way from Champain, IL. ( I'm in Northen Cali ) and it was delievered by UPS undamaged ( strange  ) any ways, it looked good from the moment I opened the box, complete and undamaged. First thing to do was to get the parts out of the plastic bags then check them all, next is to strech the monokote, it feels and looks like the original monokote not like the chinakote we have seen before, not so many wrinkles, the covering job with the feathers is excellent.

I've had mine about three months. It's a lot of fun to fly and has no bad habits, however, it is a little tricky to land if you come in too hot. I made several bouncy landings like MinnFlyer did in his video until I got a feel for the slower speed needed at touch down. It also seemed very small the first time I flew it. I have about 50 flights on it now and it's quickly becoming a favorite.

At the moment i'v streched about half if the kit, so far no wrinkels, wings are straight, the balsa and the ply on the fuse are looking good, the joins have penty of glue and the cowl fits good on the fire wall/fuse.

For the electronics I will be using Hitec all around including 4 Hs81s for the ailerons, a 5 cell NIMH batt, Hitec super 8 receiver, a 70 Surpass for an engine.

More later.

I finally got this bird done, over all really easy to assemble kit.

I'm using a ST 51 with the stock moffler and had to come up with a way how to divert the exaust out of the engine compartment out to the side ( see pics.)

hope to get some help, i maiden my gp christen eagle .46 yesterday and it did not go so good. at first i tryed to take off in the grass but it would get the tail up and then would have a violent nose over, the elevater would not hold it down. thought it might have been the grass so we went to the concret on the third try, well i got it in the air but had no elevator control . i had to pull almost full up elevator and wide open throttle to get level flight. well..... most should know how the rest went. this is my 10 plane i have built and the first i have crashed. the cg was right i checked it my friend at the field checked it so it was what the manual said 100mm back from the le of the top wing i had to add 4.5 oz lead to the firewall. anyhelp would be nice. thanks
