Suggestions on programming Spect DX7 and Eflite Super Cub 25E?
Hoping someone here has some suggestions for programming the DX7 on a 4 panel wing such as the super cub.. I have a 7 channel receiver, so I don't need to use any Y extensions (I think).. Anyway, the confusion is weather or not I need to use flapperon mode, or just standard? I'm in standard mode now.. Rt. Aileron on Ch2 and Left aileron on 'gear' on receiver.. PMix5 has 100 percent both ways mixed Ail-Gear... For some reason, the left aileron movement is restricted in one direction, and throwing the gear switch is overdriving the servo (which would be bad in flight if I accidentally hit it..) Anyway, I'm sure this is an easy task, but I only use the DX7 for helis to this point and I'm a bit lost with airplane programming on it!!
Thanks for any suggestions fellas.. GD |

I would just use flapperon

If using the gear channel as an aileron channel, go to the gear throws and change them from 100% each way to zero each way. The throw is then controlled by the mix only.

You need to choose the flaperon wing. Your right aileron plugs into the aileron port and your left aileron plugs into aux 1 port. You can then use the appropirate sub trims to adjust each aileron independently. Total aileron throw can then be adjusted by your dual rates.

Fellas, thanks for the suggestions.. I got it all straightened out, but went with the standard wing, not flapperon.. Evidently if you choose flapperon you lose the ability to use 2 different flap settings via the 3 way flight mode switch.. (Flap system menu).. So by creating a gear-gear 0/0 mix I was able to get rid of the interaction on the aileron channel.. Havn't actually used the travel adjust page yet to limit throws for differential, but I think I'll be ok with that.. I thought this radio would handle airplane programming a bit better.. seems to be better suited for helicopters (which is what I use it for primarily..)
Thanks again! |

Glad you got it sorted out. Can be overwhelming at times.;)
