Hobbico twinstar
 

I have a hobbico Twinstar, and have installed two OS SF25's. I am not getting all the fuel from the tanks as the clunks are not pulling down the fuel line. I have never dealt with small tanks before and I am wondering what is a solution.

Use a more flexable klunk line.

There are more flexable lines then the line that comes in the tank kit.

Well I used some of the fuel tubing I had in my flight box and it worked. I was not to sure as it still seemed like it was not going to get to the bottom, but it did. I managed to get 12 mins of run time on my two OS25's. I was very happy as I was expecting around 8 mins with full and half throttle. I also managed to get them to idle. I am ready for my test flight on Sunday.

You are doing well for flight time. I have OS 32f's that are about 5 plus mins. at full throttle and you better be landing, period. I use it for my tune-up plane before flying my good ones.....It is fun and everyone enjoys hearing those little sync'ed engines screaming
by. Fun little plane.

Well I had it our for it's Maiden today and what a beauty to fly. From factory settings I only added 1 click to up elevator and 1 click to the left. Nice plane to fly and handles the wind well for a little plane. The power to my two OS 25SF engines on a 9X6 prop is amazing, and the sound, a nice purr. Very happy with the plane, the only thing I do not like is the throttle servos rub on the cowl when it is at an Idle.

I just picked up a used Twinstar and have it ready for the first flight. Has anyone converted this plane to a tail dragger?

Sems like more trouble than it would be worth.....consider wing location and tailwheel steering?

Excellent flying twin trainer. The trim and later the covering tends to peel off.

For a really fun plane, it needs larger controls. Once my wing covering came loose and couldn't be stuck down, I recovered the top of the wing and installed wider ailerons. The fluorescent yellow is a lot easier to see. At the same time I added floats, pulled the GMS .32 engines and installed Thunder Tiger .42GP engines. It made a really nice sea twin.

Thanks for input fella's. I flew the Twinstar yesterday, it a blast to fly. It has Evolution .36's, it flies like a rocket ship.... :D I was really impressed with the little engines. I don't think they had been ran for quite some time but they both fired right up and ran great.
