New Hanger 9 .60 size ARF build

Putting together a new Hanger 9 P-51 Bluenose but really do not like the belly "scoop". Thinking about making it an acual scoop by cutting out the front area. Would this mod hurt anything? Ideas, suggestions. Thanks for any comments in advance.

Thanks, just thought it would look a lot more realistic with an actual scoop like the real aircraft.<div>
