Venus and Aresti
I would like to hear from Venus and Aresti owners about how well its constructed, if anything had to be modified such as tank position and what motors/props are being used.

RE: Venus and Aresti
I don't own either but both are at my club and both are built good from what I have seen, However the Venus seems to be a little more stable when flying, Both pilots have tried each others plane and agree, The Aresti tends to wobble a little bit if hit with any cross wind whereas the venus seemed to keep the wings a little more level without wobble. It might just be this one in particular but this is what I have seen, Both look great and fly well.

RE: Venus and Aresti
I've had the Aresti for 2 weeks now and I'm very impressed. I've been flying in winds of 10-15mph and it has been very stable, no wobble, which surprised me because it is such a light plane. I added fiberglass to the back of the firewall because there were reports of the firewall coming loose. I also added alot more elevator then recommended because it needs it to taxi on grass, once in the air I switch to low rates. SO far I'm very happy. I have an OS 52 in it.

RE: Venus and Aresti
I haven't flown the Aresti.
There's a review of the Venus here on RCU Magazine by Marc Vigod, our fearless leader, at http://www.rcuniverse.com/magazine/a...article_id=107 and I did a review on my own web site at http://homepage.mac.com/mikejames/rc...us40arf01.html You'll also find a lot of info on both of these in the "Pattern" forum. |
