Pulse 125 & Engine Size

I have a Pulse 125 NIB and am going to make it my next project. I have read a few threads here, one of which, is quite long. I also have a DLE 30 NIB that I plan to use on it. However, the large thread has flyer after flyer using the DLE 20. Would it be better to just go ahead and buy a 20 and save the 30 for a bigger plane? Or just go ahead with the 30?

Highly suggest that you get a 20cc for the Pulse 125. Save the 30cc for a larger plane.

X2 as even the 20cc is pushing it?

That's what I was thinking after reading the long thread on it. Seems like the 20 is a very good match.

Been flying one for about a year w/ DLE20 and wouldn't trade it for anything (well almost:)). I had to switch to a 15-7 three bladed prop for ground clearance. The plane doesn't have unlimited vertical with that prop but almost did with a MA 16-8.http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/atta...mentid=1915255

Positively a DLE20 . A DLE30 will rip it apart ... I have a OS120 on mine and it is a perfect match if you like gobs of power.. You are going to love the plane .

Got the 20 in the mail today.... can't wait to begin assembling the Pulse. I will be incorporating a lot of the suggestions from the long thread here on RCU.
