Problems with Escapade MX
1 Attachment(s)
I was looking to replace my aging Sig Somethin Extra with an electric Escapade MX. It can barley stay in the air! I am using a Phoenix 100, Rimfire .55, 4s 30c 3000 mAh batteries and a 11x7 prop.
I just don't think the prop is proper but it is what the book calls for. The actual website for the Rime fire .55 suggests 13x10 or 15x8. The watt meter shows less that 200 watts and 16+ volts on my lipo. Does anyone else have an electric MX flying that can help? http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/atta...mentid=1934400 |
Doesn't look like quite enough voltage for the .55

This is what the manual calls for, in fact this is the reason why I bought the plane. I have plenty of 4s batteries. Thanks for the addendum!
I have installed the Rimfire .46 only because I don't want to buy 5s batteries. The 11x7 prop pulls just under 400 watts. A 13x8 pulls closer to 600 watts. I am still using 4s battery packs. I'll update on the flight of both. I hope to have my 14SG hooked up to give a more accurate flight time on both (voltage telemetry). |
I put a Rimfire .46 and use 4S 5000 mAh. With a 13x8 prop, it is a blast. I actually like this plane!!!

Good to hear, thanks for the update.
