RE: Reciver and battery install
Both should be wrapped in 1/4"-1/2" foam rubber. Secure the foam to itself using a small piece of electrical tape. Then either use double sided foam tape, velcro or both secure them to the plane.
I typically use foam tape and then just for a bit of extra security I also put some velcro straps around if possible. |
RE: Reciver and battery install
should the reciever be stacked on the battery or beside it??
thanks for all the help |
RE: Reciver and battery install
Typically you would place the battery where it will help get the center of gravity within the range suggested by the manual. Don't wrap the Rx and the battery together, try to keep them separate.

RE: Reciver and battery install
I use 1 1/2 or 2 inch hook and loop (velcro) glued (epoxy)to the inside of the fuselage. Wrap the battery in foam and then place it into the velcro, fold over the hook and loop with a little compression on the foam, this keeps it all tight and in place. Do the same for the receiver. I like to keep the battery in front of or below the receiver. Wrap the battery either in the same velcro or by it self depending on the placement for balance.
You can find the hook and loop at places like Joan Fabric or most stores of this type that sell fabrics and supplies. I buy the type that doesn't have adhesive on the back. Leo |
