Anyone got one of these ?

I wanted an easy going plane, and thought this one might fit the bill :-)

Just got it out of teh box, and so far im satisfied with the quality of it.
Seems very solid. Tail seems a bit heavy.....but solid :-)

Think I will put my ROTO 35 2 stroke on it....or the NGH 30cc 4 stroke.

So, nobody has one ;)

Still think it is awesome.
I installed the landing gear, and just put it loosly together. Sure has a good size :D

I did not like the moose on the tail, so i removed it. Pretty easy to wipe off the printed stuff. With celulose..

SJN, No I don't have one, but I do have two other smaller VQ ARF models ( 60" Pilatus Turbo Porter and 76" Cessna 188 Agwagon) and they are both very good flyers. I bet your Beaver will also be a good flyer. I agree....NO MOOSE ! BTY the printed sticky back covering that VQ uses can be heat shrunk to tighten it up, but be very careful with the heat gun it doesn't need or want much heat. The giant Beaver should be a good one, enjoy it.

Thanks, I found that one earlier. Great review.
Glad to hear it flys well.

My roto 35 cc engine is quite a bit heavier than a dle 30. About 500g. I hope the cg wont be too far off once installed.

It is also a bit too long with the pitts muffler, so I will have to make a cutout in the firewall. Half of the carb will also be sticking into the cabin area theugh the firewall.

The horizontal stab is normaly removable, but I have glued mine on permanently.

Horizontal tail glued on.
Also cut out the cowl mounts from the stock cowl ring.
I wanted to get maximum airflow through the cowl, and the stock mounting ring blocks it all off.
So I just cut out the mounting brackest, and glued them on alone.

My Roto 35 engine is a bit long with the muffler installed, so I will have to hack up the firewall to make room for it.

Had to remove the battery tray system which is pre installed inside the cabin area to make room for my modification in the next step.

Cut out the firewall to accomedate my engine and muffler.

Going to detail and paint the fake radial.
I also increaced the diameter, to move it further back into the cowl. Stock, the pushrods on the engine are right up against the cowl openening....that looks realy ugly :-)

Dummy radial painted ;)

just have to get the cowl atatched, and align the dummy radial, and glue it in.
