Hello to all. I am new on this forum and recently bought this used ARF (I believe it is a ARF) from a hobby shop. I am trying to identify the manufacturer and model name. Any ideas? TIA

Steve

Seagull Dual Ace. Will fly well on a pair of 46's or in that range. It's no longer made so parts may be a problem.

Thanks Gizmo! I found sone videos on it. Looks like a good first twin.

I appreciate it!

If your Hobby Town is anything like the one here (where the franchise began), don't expect a lot of help from them. They didn't even know what an aileron wheel was. If it's not a car or electric ARF, they get the deer in the headlights look.

No Hobby Town here. I bought it while on a trip. We have a good club (Memphis Prop Busters) so there is a lot of help there. The airframe is in really good shape. I will be converting it to electric and taking my time. I have a P-51 to get flying first. I am going to use this as a stepping stone to a P-38 or B-25 twin.

Thanks for the feedback!

Steve

If you got it for the $100 price on the sign, you got a good buy. The plane looks to be in good condition. Enjoy.

$80.00 was the price.. Better deal and in very good shape.

I have been involved with the RC airplane hobby since the early 70s and even spent some time in the full scale airplane world and I have never heard the term "aileron wheel".

I agree 100% with pkoury's statement .

I've been in the hobby a good bit longer than pkoury , I am a retired FAA licensed A&P Mechanic , and I too have never heard of an "Aileron Wheel" either .

 Oh , and , GREAT DEAL on the twin for only $80 !!!!

It's like a flap stick only rounder.
