http://www.towerhobbies.com/manuals/...595_manual.pdf Has anyone purchased and flown this model? I like the airfoil, pushrod on each elevator half, and price after coupons. Down side, not too much a fan of inverted engines (GP only here) fussing with glow igniter and other front line hassles. Still interested in it, but thought someone ahead of me here that can elaborate on it's flight character and other positives / negatives to share would be great. I'm on the fence. |
I have worked on and flown 3 Phoenix models. All have been pretty good. They fly well, seem to be built well. No structural failures from the planes I have.
Inverted cowled engines, I always use a remote glow setup and a 3 line fuel tank. Buzz. |
Thanks, Not my first rodeo with Phoenix or inverted engines either. I wanted specific feedback on the Typhoon though, not about it's inverted engine that I read about in the PDF file, or the other build quality typical in all their models, but the question is really about how close to Pattern style flying is this model since the wing seems to be spot on for that?

I have no first hand information for you, sorry.
It looks a little like the old Hobbico Spectrum. Buzz. |
