Hi,
I'm thinking about modifying my ranger to a twin before I add a flight controller.
I would just like to ask you what your final thoughts are for this mod and whether it's worth it
or should I just junk it and get something that is not so sensitive to fly?

The plane is good even in its original form when you figure out the problem it has. As i understand it the issue is that the prop wash is not as the same level as the tail and the angle of the motor is wrong.

At first i angled the motor more to the point that it was looking at the sky and that minimized the dive when you apply throttle then i mixed elevator up with the the throttle and the problem disappeared.

I went on to mod the plane to twin tractor because it needed a lot of runaway to take off and it would not track straight when trying to takeoff. With 2 original motors the plane has insane power takes off quickly and no longer matter if it tracks straight or not. The one thing you must know is that you must use CW and CCW props cause without them the plane torques to the left alternatively you should angle the motor to the right.

I also laminated the whole plane and installed bigger softer wheels to cushion hard landings i have plans to add a suspension but this won't happen any time soon.

Modding the plane to twin tractor and adding a FC will surely make the plane fun to fly. I like to tinker and mess with things if you want a plane that would fly straight out of the box then this is not the right plane for you.

I forgot to say that now the plane sounds awesome with the 2 motors, something like an old bomber lol
