High RES Pictures!
Guys,
My buddy, Gerry Rivera sent me the High Res Pictures and did a little cropping to focus on the model. https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...4e721d41b0.jpg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...2ae0a5321e.jpg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...5f1d6fe6c5.jpg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...720475470d.jpg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...a4c093ac00.jpg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...f69202f933.jpg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...882fa3e822.jpg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...4413fa62f2.jpg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...78823d5b2e.jpg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...942d47fae7.jpg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...19960b2e41.jpg |
Some Details - Power System
it all depends on what Motor one finally decides.;)
A good friend by the name of Dave C., from Brooksville, Florida sold me his and he selected the.... EMP 4250 motor - 800Kv It has the APC "E" 13 X 6.5 (2-Blade) Propeller and measured values are as follows: 4S 3300 30C: 830 WATTs / 56-AMPS / 9880 RPMs / 7.9lbs of thrust / EFF: 82% AUW 4lbs. - 2oz. 201 Watts/lbs. 3S 2200 35C: 400 WATTs / 38-AMPs / 7900 RPMs / ~ 6.0lbs. of thrust / EFF: 80% AUW 3lbs. - 9oz. (Keeps it really light) 112 WATTs/lbs. Here's the FOR-SALE-Ad: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...Tower-Ryan-STA My maiden flight was with the 3S 2200mAH, 35C, Lithium Polymer pack (Old pack with lots of cycles)! The model lifted off ground in less than 15 feet in scale manner and didn't disappoint once it was in the air. It performed all maneuvers (mild) with great results. Surely, the heavier 4-Cell, 3300mAH, 30C did wake up the model and take-off was hanging by the propeller but, that's not my style as I am a scale type and we here are discussing a scale model.;) Needless to say, the 3-Cell, 2200mAH, 35C by GEN ACES balanced the model perfectly so, it seems like the EMP 4250 - 800Kv that Dave selected has a good nose weight amount. The 3-Cell was NOT all the way forward as well.;) |
