U Can Do 40 Wing Incidence

Do anyone know the incidence of the wing and horizontal tail on a U Can Do 40. I need to rebuild the tail and this info will help me rebuild it correctly.

Thanks
Dave

Since the UCD was marketed as a 3D trainer of sorts I'm almost certain the stab, wing and engine are set to zero.

I would agree with you that they would be zero. However, I am preparing to re install the mounting for the horizontal stabilizer and my measurements are showing the wing is at ~ 1 degree. When I mount it the stabilizer even with the wing, it does not look right

I will go back re check my measurement

Dave that negative one degree could also mean that when the wing is at zero the stab has one degree positive. Either way it is not going to work out well at those angles. Keep in mind that for a symmetrical airfoil to generate lift it must be flown with a positive AOA. I'm not a fan of the zero zero setting simply because it requires you to fly the entire airplane at a positive AOA as opposed to just the wing. Impossible to get uplines to track straight with that scenario. However since 3D is not really a precision thing the zero zero works due to wanting the airplane to behave the same right side up and inverted. My advise would be to tweak it so that you do have zero zero or set it up so that the stab is zero and the wing has .75 degree positive.
