What engine for an ultra stick 60?
Hi,
I'm just wondering what engine would you guys recommend for an ultra stick 60 plane from hangar 9? I'm ordering this plane this week to break into 3D flying. I've no real experience in 3D'ing except hovering my trainer and my PC-9 at almost full throttle with no power left to pull out of it.... So what engine and prop combo would you recommend for this plane....? Thanks for your replies, Mark |

If you want to start learning 3D I would go with the Saito 100. A 91 4-stroke does well but the extra power of the Saito 100 will help with the high power manuevers. Good luck!

I have 2 seasons on mine with a Saito FA-100. This combination cannot be beat.

Go with the Saito 100. My Stik flew off on it's own a couple weeks ago and crashed, but the Stik/Saito 100 combo was purrfect.

Thanks for the replies :)
I suppose for 3D'ing it'd be better for the plane to be overpowered than underpowered... What size prop would best suit the saito 100 for what i want it to do...? No one at my club does 3D flying but i saw people doing it when i was over in england during the summer. It's so cool. I'm gonna have to learn it the hard way tho (at a nice height of course) cause there's no one to show me how it's done. This is why i dunno what prop would be best for 3D'ing... |

O i meant to say does anyone know any good online shops that sell the saito 100? Even in the US or wherever. There aren't that meant stockists of saito over this neck of the woods....and the one i found is very dear compared to some of the prices in the US so i'm told (even factoring in the postage to Ireland...)
