How much does WM want for their ultimate?? If you liked the last one you had why not go for the same again?? Is the crashed one to far gone to rebuild?

I think the DP .40 Ultimate is the one to have.I have never flown one but all good things about it.I had Global and didn't care for it too much.

I have the Great Planes Ultimate and it Rocks. It is not an ARF but is worth building. I got mine already built from a friend what a great little plane. I would defenatly build one if I had to. Look at the Dave Patrick Models 40 size ultimate. I hear that they are the one to get. You might have a hard time getting one though.

IT is to far gone to fix IT was a Great flying plane /good at flat spins ,knife edge and other 3D Arobatics , But its a kit so I was thinking about a arf to save time.I looked on the tower website for the Globel ULt They list it as discontineud.

I called Dave Patrick Models to order a Ultimate 40, and was told that they don't know when they will have them---If ever. Anyone got one NIB? I'll buy!

I have a global 40 size ultimate with an OS .46 running an 11/7 prop .The plane is superb ! I have several aircraft and this is one of my favorites .I have no complaints at all . It's well thought out easy to put together and fun to fly . It looks especially cool . Jeff

RE: looking for a arf ultimate

I saw the Global ultimate fly today. It flew pretty good. A guy in my club has one and he was doing everything with it. It has an OS 46 FX on it and it would fly the plane very good. It would hover at full throttle for about 30 seconds before falling out. I have the GP ultimate and it flys great too. I have only been flying glow planes for a year and a half so I am still learning how to do aerobatics. I mostly do loops and rolls stall turns and other basic stuff. I take it easy on my plane and it flies great. It is very stable and lands great. The only thing is you have to keep power on it when landing. It doesn't glide very well. I had 2 dead sticks today because I ran it out of fuel. I was having so much fun I forgot to land and fuel up. Good thing I fly at a great field with lots of room to land off of the runway. Need to keep better track of my flight times.

I have the Global 46 ultimate arf with a 91FS on it.
Havent flown it yet still finishing it up but from what i can see it is a great lil biplane.
The only big thing i recomend is the control rod setup its a bit to flexible for my tast so i cut the monocote out of the bottom openings ang secured the control rods a lilttle better so they dont flex as much . I have also lightend it up some with carbon fiber wing struts and some bulkheads here and there. Other than that it should be a nice flying plane.

Roumor i that Cermark will soon have a few DP Ultimates to sell. Maybe so, maybe not. With the DP name on it, I'd call for confirmation prior to oredring. But, it is said to be a superior plane.
